I, John Dolan, Goes Elitny

The model-level babes stood in a line in front of the car (which sparkled a lot more than the diamonds) and tried to look mean/cool. Why do models practice that lesbian glare? It scares the Hell out of me. But then, I'm not the target demographic. I ducked behind the six-foot-three rich lady in front of me to hide from the dykey glares (which also sparkled about a million times more than the diamonds).

There was a ten-minute break. It was supposed to be followed by another fashion show, but I was already thinking of the quick, quiet exit. As I faded back into the crowd, I saw our beloved Salnikov with a fey young man I took to be the famous Dima.

I went up calling, "Denis! Denis!" Salnikov sort of shrunk away, like I'd tried to cling to the hems of his garments. I had too much momentum to run away directly, so I grabbed for another of my eXile cards, pointing to my name. I handed it to Denis. He and Dima shared a little smirk, then Denis gave the card back to me while looking at his friend, chuckling.

And that was enough for one day in the life of your intrepid CityBeat Ace. Nobody tried to stop me on my way out, which was lucky for them. I had a Bic pen in my hand, and I was willing to use it.
